All YummyCreations’ cakes are baked and handmade to order. You can send a picture of cake you would like making, but I will not make an exact copy. I will try my best to make alterations to make the cake original for you. I will do my best to match any colour requests for icing and other decorations but I cannot guarantee an exact match as colours present differently in different materias. Perfect match is not always possible. Please check your order through before placing it.
To confirm an order, non-refundable/non-transferable retainer fee is required upon booking. This will secure requested date and order. The outstanding balance will be due on agreed day before collection/delivery day if payed by bank transfer or on collection/delivery if payed by cash. Or week before your venue for wedding cakes. If you wish to have alterations that affect the cost, after the retainer has been paid, the balance will be adjusted accordingly. Payments can be made by Cash or Bank Transfer.
As general guidance, cupcakes should be eaten as soon as you can, preferably within couple of days to enjoy the freshness. They should be stored in the box provided and stored in dry cool place, unless stated otherwise (some YummyCreations’ creams need to be kept refrigerated). Sponge cakes decorated in fondant icing and buttercream or chocolate ganache should be eaten within 1 week and stored in the box provided in dry cool place uncut and should be wrapped in cling film once cut. Sponge cakes filled with cream cheese cream should be kept in the box provided in the fridge and eaten within 3-5days. They should not be displayed at the parties for longer then 3h (less in hot days/rooms).
YummyCreations offers delivery of your order, although it is limited due to family responsibilities, but I will do my best to meet your needs. YummyCreations charges flat fee for the delivery which is calculated round trip as starting from YummyCreations’ base to agreed location within 10 mile radius with first 3 mile free. Own collection of your order is free of charge. The full responsibility for the safety of the cake, once collected, is with the customer. The safest place to place your order is either the boot of customer’s car or the flat surface of front seat footwell (depending on size of your order). YummyCreations takes no responsibility for any damage to the order after it’s been collected. The same applies for orders that are delivered once we leave.
Orders from YummyCreations are checked by myself and by the customer on collection. The customer consents that it has been collected in perfect condition by accepting the order and removing it from the premises. Damages after this are not YummyCreations’ responsibility. Orders delivered to customer are checked again upon arrival and by the customer before we leave and customer consents that it has been delivered in perfect condition by accepting the order. Damages after this are not YummyCreations’ responsibility. Cakes are fragile and require care and attention when handling, transporting, storing and displaying to prevent damage. Please take care when displaying your cake to avoid any direct sunlight, heat or candles creating damage to the cake’s decorations.
Complaints are very rare, however, YummyCreations takes them very seriously, after all YummyCreations’ reputation is built upon the word of mouth of my customers. Corrections and repairs including inscription mistakes, can be made on the same day in most cases. Please give me the opportunity and contact me to let me know of the problem within 1h of accepting your order. some complaints may require further investigation and an immediate refund may not always be possible. Cakes, or part of cakes (no less then 50%), must be returned within 24h to ensure YummyCreations is able to fairly assess the nature of complaint and that it never happens again. The maximum refund YummyCreations offers is the order value and any delivery charges. Further compensation is not available. YummyCreations has the right to refund in whichever way they deem suitable.
Allergies!
Unless otherwise specified YummyCreations’ orders contain butter, gluten (wheat) and eggs and are made in an environment that handles nuts, soya, alcohol and other allergens. YummyCreations can make allergen FRIENDLY orders but not FREE. YummyCreations can not guarantee any contamination or traces due to nature of production. YummyCreations accepts no responsibility for customers suffering allergic reaction from eating their order. It is customer’s responsibility to make YummyCreations aware of any special dietary requirements while placing their order. There is a huge difference between Intolerance and Allergy of food products and whilst YummyCreations can assist with the Intolerance, YummyCreations cannot guarantee to be 100% allergy free.
